There is a safety lever on the trigger, and when you push it toward the trigger side, it's safe, and when you push it forward, you can fire.
By pushing the lever on the left side and moving the barrel tube forward, you can load and eject 40mm type launcher cartridges with a total length of up to approximately 120mm.
