Following the "P226 Rail" equipped with a rail and its improved model "P226E2", Tokyo Marui has now added the "P226E2 Stainless Steel Model" with a stainless steel silver color to the slide and frame.

This automatic pistol was developed in 1980 as an improved version of the P220, which was developed as a successor to the P210 and was well received. The flagship model that forms the core of the P22x series.
Although there is no major difference in appearance from the P220, minor modifications have been made such as making the magazine double-column to increase the number of bullets, and it is robust enough to operate reliably even after being immersed in water or mud for a long time. and has extremely high durability.
In the 1980s, when the U.S. military selected the standard handgun to follow the M1911, it lost out to the Beretta M92F due to the difference in asking price (it is said that the lack of a manual safety was a bottleneck). However, it passed the trial itself and its high performance was evaluated, so it was later introduced for use by officers and special forces.
In addition to being used by the US Navy SEALs under the names Mk24 and Mk25, it is also used by military and police special forces such as the original German GSG9, British SAS, and Spanish GEO (National Police Special Operations Group). numbers are deployed.
