Modern auto handgun built on the lessons learned from the Mk23

The HK45, announced as a civilian model in 2007, is a polymer-framed handgun developed with the aim of creating the "ideal .45 caliber elite pistol" desired by American special forces.

When modeling in the gas blowback series, we pursued the realism of the HK45 based on data measured from the real thing. The unique grip shape called the Spiderman grip, interchangeable grip backstrap, and decockable safety incorporate modern styles to enhance the reproducibility of the HK45. In addition, by adopting a large-diameter cylinder with a diameter of 15 mm for the blowback engine, this model allows you to enjoy a swift and heavy recoil.

≪Main features≫
●Large-diameter cylinder: The cylinder with a diameter of 15 mm is filled with gas for firing and blowback. Stable shooting performance and powerful blowback have been achieved.
●Safety and decocking system: By operating the safety lever, it is possible to lock the hammer when it is fully cocked (ready to fire), and it is also possible to return it from full cock to half cock to prevent accidental firing due to dropping, etc.
●Ambidextrous slide stop and magazine catch lever: It can be operated from either the left or right, so it is suitable for both dominant and left-handed people.
●Grip back strap included: Two types, S/M, are included. You can adjust the grip comfort to suit the size of your hand.
●Equipped with underrail: The underrail integrated with the frame can be used to attach flashlights that are compatible with the Picatinny standard (20 mm width).
●Die-cast magazine: A die-cast magazine with a capacity of 26 rounds and resistance to cold is included.

[From the real gun]
An automatic pistol developed by H&K based on their USP. This gun was designed with the aim of being the ideal duty pistol that special forces members, including Delta gunsmith Larry Vickers, wanted. Officially, it was developed by the company for the JCPP (Joint Combat Pistol Program) trial conducted by U.S.SOCOM (United States Special Operations Command) in 2005 to select a successor pistol to the M9, but according to an interview with Vickers, the JCPP actually started while H&K was developing the gun with Vickers and others.

The basic style, such as the cut-off slide, interchangeable backstrap, Picatinny rail on the frame, and ambidextrous, is the same as that of the P2000. The same goes for the low-profile front and rear sights with three dots. The lever at the rear of the frame is a control lever inherited from the USP, and the safety and decocking operations can be handled in the same way as the USP, and by replacing parts, it is also possible to set it to safety only or decocking only. The trigger mechanism can be converted between SA/DA and DAO, just like the USP, and the DAO is an LEM (or CDA) trigger derived from the USP Compact. In addition to the usual black, the frame color can be selected from military green and desert tan. In addition, the magazine for the HK45 is an extended version of the magazine for the USP45 Compact. Although the number of bullets has been reduced by two compared to the same full-size USP45, this has resulted in a slimmer grip. The magazine for the HK45 can also be used with the USP45 Compact.

The prototype submitted for the trial had the same exterior design as the P2000, but the design of the sales model was changed to the P30 type, which is a higher-end model of the P2000. Incidentally, this design, with curved lines in a grid pattern along the ridges of the grip channel derived from the P30, is called the "Spiderman Grip."

There is also a compact type, the HK45C (Compact), which has an appearance similar to the P2000 type design that is close to the prototype. The HK45C has been adopted by the US Navy SEALs under the name "Mk.24 Mod.0." The lineup also includes the HK45T (Tactical), which is threaded to attach a silencer, and the HK45CT, which follows the specifications of the Mk24.
