●A model of the Nighthawk Custom, a high-end 1911 pistol featured in the bestselling comic series with over 25 million copies sold, which has also been adapted into a live-action film and an anime.

[One Gun, One Gunsmith.]

Nighthawk Custom was founded in 2004 in Berryville, Arkansas, USA.

It was established by four people: current owner Mark Stone, Ron Phillips and Jeff Phillips (both master pistolsmiths at Wilson Combat, a major brand also located in Berryville), and Greg Golson (a salesman at Wilson Combat).

In 2010, Nighthawk Custom underwent a major transformation, adopting the slogan "One Gun, One Gunsmith."

Since then, Nighthawk custom guns have adhered to a manufacturing method largely unsuitable for mass production: one gunsmith handles each gun from start to finish.

This extends beyond assembly to include hand-beveling, surface finishing, and even test firing.

The completed custom gun bears the initials of the dedicated gunsmith stamped below the left grip panel.

This serves as a guarantee of a lifetime warranty and elevates Nighthawk custom guns to a level far superior to many other mass-produced products.

Currently, Nighthawk Custom has grown to rival Wilson Combat, one of the top brands in the US 1911 custom gun market. They produce 3,600 to 3,700 guns annually, based on one of approximately 50 basic models, and the waiting time from order to completion can sometimes reach several years.

[The Nighthawk Chosen by Professionals]

WA has modeled the Nighthawk Custom, a gun so trusted by professionals that it's often referred to as a "fable," as a custom gun that remains relevant in modern tactics.

This model is constructed as a Commander-class tactical gun, combining a full-size, single-stack (single-row magazine) frame, similar to Colt's Government model, with a 4-inch barrel slide.

Notable features include a threaded barrel equipped with M14 threads for silencer attachment and an enhanced Picatinny rail for easy attachment of optical devices such as weapon lights, reflecting a professional-spec concept designed for use in confined spaces such as indoors and for covert operations.

[Custom Points of the Slide Assembly]

The slide is based on a blank Commander-class slide.

The top of the slide is engraved with 30 LPI (lines per inch) serrations.

Similarly, the back of the slide features a 40 LPI checker pattern, designed to prevent glare when aiming.

The rear of the slide has block-shaped cocking serrations, which are effective when loading with gloved hands.

All of these details, including the iconic logo on the left side depicting a fiercely soaring eagle, are luxuriously reproduced using machine processing.

The dovetail front sight is a white point specification.

Combined with a low-mount tactical rack rear sight that reduces snagging on clothing, it provides an excellent sight picture.

The front of the rear sight is deeply recessed, also serving as a cocking shoulder, and has a form that is effective when operating with a reverse grip on the top of the slide.

The aluminum-machined bushing-type barrel is equipped with an M14 thread (positive thread) that allows for direct attachment of a suppressor without the need for any adapters.

The barrel itself is made of machined aluminum to reduce weight and minimize the impact on slide movement when a suppressor is attached.

The full-length steel guide rod, running parallel to the barrel, provides a top-heavy balance while assisting in the reliable extension and contraction of the recoil spring.

[Frame Assembly Customization Points]

The Picatinny rail, integrally molded into the frame's dust cover, is a regular-length rail with three slits, currently the mainstream design, accommodating a variety of equipment sizes.

The ambidextrous extended thumb safety, operable from both sides, features a snag-free, minimalist design with a cut-out rear lever to prevent accidental activation.

The hammer is a ring-shaped skeleton hammer designed for faster lock time.

The high-ride grip safety prevents thumb injury from the hammer when gripping the handle at a high position, and features a memory bump at the bottom for easy disengagement without conscious effort.

The frame features a robust magazine well with a widened magazine insertion opening at the bottom, ensuring quick magazine changes.

The Smith & Aleexander-type magazine well, integrated with the spring housing, has checkering extending to the bottom edge of the well for superior grip.

The grip panels, with their distinctive dimpled anti-slip pattern sometimes referred to as "golf ball texture," feature a scalloped edge on the left side, assisting with easy access to the magazine catch button.

The carbon black heavy-weight slide and frame are finished with a matte silver baked-on paint reminiscent of stainless steel models, creating a presence unique to silver models, evoking the image of a white hawk soaring in the darkness.

Each Nighthawk Custom is handcrafted by custom gun builders with tactical professional use in mind.

Even in the US market, it is categorized as a very expensive handgun, but many 1911 enthusiasts consider acquiring a Nighthawk Custom not merely as consumption, but as an investment in an artistically perfected work of art.

WA brings back the feeling of using exceptional tools made by professionals for professionals, right in your hands.
